The Beginning:
Cutlaw Construction was incorporated in November 1975 as a specialized welding and pipe fabrication company to the Petrochem Industry. AECI, Natref and Sasol being its biggest clients. As the company grew so did its capabilities.
From these early beginnings the company has developed into a fully fledged Mining and Metallurgy Construction Services Company completing contracts for leading Mining Companies in South Africa and Internationally.
Ownership:
Cutlaw-Vuka was incorporated in 2006, its is a Level 3 B-BBEE company with 51% black ownership of which 27% is black female owned. All black shareholders are staff of the company with one black female being a director.
Capabilities:
Cutlaw-Vuka has the inhouse capability to design, detail, fabricate and install structural steelwork, plate work, vessels, conveyors and piping. Our 25,000 M²vproduction facility is owned outright along with all the plant, tools and equipment.
We have completed extensive underground construction projects for Valterra Platinum formerly Anglo Platinum,Pan African and PMC of late. Building a team of highly experienced and motivated staff who are able to deliver any underground construction and SMPP project requirements. We have invested significantly in the training of our staff to maintain and enhance this capability.
Including but not limited to rail system installation, dam construction, extensive concrete works, box/stoping box front, electrical substations, workshops, piping, tens of km of 1200mm underground conveyor incl mechanicals, draw bell supports, ventilation and cooling works and extensive underground equipping at mines across the country.
